Regular readers of this blog may have noticed I haven’t posted for a little while. I’ve been ill for a while so I decided to take a temporary break from blogging but I’m in a better frame of mind now so I’m ready to get back on the horse. And what better way to start with a shameless plea to vote for me in the UK Blog Awards 2019.
From the outside, it might look like all bloggers do is post selfies on Instagram and get free stuff and invites to cool events, which might be the case if you’re Zoella, but for the rest of us it’s a grind. Even if you only post once a week, once you factor in photography, editing, social media and all that jazz, it’s a huge time commitment, and if you have a full-time job it’s like a constant juggling act. Granted, there are perks, but unless you hit the big time you couldn’t really do it for anything for love it. Which is why any form of recognition, even if it’s something as small as getting a shoutout on Twitter from someone telling me they love my blog, is always much appreciated.
The voting for next year’s UK blog awards is now open. I’ve entered both the dating and lifestyle categories this year, and although I’m not expecting to win again, making the shortlist and being able to attend the award ceremony would be absolutely AMAZING. The judging process is slightly different this year, as the shortlist will be based on both a public vote and a judging process, then the final winner will be selected by a panel of judges. So if you enjoy my blog, please take the time to vote for me.
Thank you in advance, and good luck to everyone else who entered. Hope to see you all at the awards next year!
